Whether you need basic self defense training or would like to begin a journey in Traditional martial arts, WTKA Canada is the premiere Karate-Do school.
We teach all ages in a mixed and friendly atmosphere. We promote lifelong skills and traditional Shotokan Karate training and discipline. Shotokan is one of best forms of martial arts that utilises every facet of the body and mind. It will condition you through a physical as well as mental workout.

Carmelo Marchese is a 6th DAN Black belt with 35 years of Traditional Karate experience.
Carmelo has Trained with Masters such as Masatoshi Nakayama, Hidetaka Nishiyama, Masataka Mori, Katsuya Ishiyama, Ennio Falsoni, Enzo Montanari and Paolo Fugale.
Carmelo Marchese has attained a bachelor degree in Ph. Education and a master degree in Sport Psychology. He has also taught other martial arts such as Kickboxing WAKO and Specialized Police Tactical Training Byakko Kai.
We train in a modern well equipped gym.
We utilise all methods of martial arts including defense techniques,
kicks, blocks and other methods of self defense.
The facility is large and suited for multiple groups and sizes.
